Johnson Communities roots date back to the early 1900s when Craig and Court Johnson's grandfather, Carl "Poppie" Johnson immigrated to the United States from Stockholm, Sweden. Poppie was a highly skilled craftsman from the old school, who dreamed of building a better life for his family in the United States. Poppie apprenticed his son Howard in the art of distinguished "individualized" home building. Howard in turn passed the time-honored family knowledge and love of home building onto his sons Craig and Court, who started the company that today is known as Johnson Communities.
From its very inception, Johnson Communities has stood for innovative, lifestyle-centered design and uncompromised quality. Leading a close-knit, dedicated organization, the Johnson brothers are proud to carry on the principled values established by their father and grandfather long ago. With three generations of hands-on family guidance in the company, Johnson Communities has built homes in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, California and Colorado - the headquarters of Johnson Communities.
As a family-owned company, we approach the business differently than the typical builder. We are proud of our long-term relationships -not only with our customers, but also our employees and subcontractors. In fact many of them have been with us for more than three decades - and some of them have three generations of association with the Johnson Family.
Johnson's unique family-oriented building philosophy translates into a rewarding home buying experience-let us make your dream a reality.
